Dak Lak to hold 2009 national tourism year
The Government has approved a proposal by the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak to host the 2009 national tourism year.
The provincial administration says it has gained experience in this area after hosting other major tourism events like the Central Highlands Festival, the Gong Festival, and the Buon Me Thuot Coffee Festival in recent years, and that the province has immense potential in eco-tourism and cultural tourism.
The tourist attractions there include waterfalls such as Dray Sap, Gia Long, Trinh Nu, Krong Kmar, Bay Nhanh, Thuy Tien, Ba Tang, and large lakes – each spread over 200 to 600 ha – such as Lak and Ea Kao that are suitable for sailing, surfing, fishing, and other activities.
