First chorus festival to celebrate country’s unity
Nearly 1,000 artists will participate in the first Vietnam Chorus Festival, which will be held on April 24-25 at the Ben Thanh Theatre, HCM City.
The event will attract nearly 20 choral societies from cultural centres, schools and localities. They will present songs from the collection of Vietnamese historical songs published one year ago by the HCM City Youth Cultural House and HCM City.
The most outstanding item will see the participation of 160 singers and will last 28 minutes.
This is the largest chorus festival so far in HCM City to celebrate the 119th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and the city’s liberation day (April 30).
